Clock speed decides tick rate. Not core count.

2.5GHz

A typical South African host (Xeon Gold)

Your game server runs on one core, so make it the fastest one. DDR5-6000 and NVMe Gen4 on every plan.

What every plan runs on

  • ProcessorAMD Ryzen 9 9950X16 cores, 32 threads, 5.7 GHz boost. Your server's tick loop runs on one of them, so it is the boost clock that matters.
  • MemoryDDR5-6000Chunk loads, entity updates and plugin work are memory-bound; fast memory keeps the tick short.
  • StorageNVMe Gen4World saves, backups and map generation without waiting on the disk.
  • PanelPelicanConsole, file manager, backups and schedules in the browser; SFTP for everything else.

Why clock speed, not core count

A game server is one loop: read what the players did, move everything, send the result, repeat — twenty times a second in Minecraft, sixty-four in Counter-Strike 2. That loop runs on one core. A tick that overruns its slot is lag your players feel, and extra cores do not shorten it; a faster core does.

Hosts quote core counts because they are easy to sell. Every plan here gets the same 5.7 GHz core; the plans differ in the memory and cores around it, and the builder prices exactly that.

  • 1core runs your world's tick loop, whatever the plan
  • 5.7GHz boost on that core, on every plan
  • R40per GB of RAM a month on custom builds, one core per 4 GB
  • R1.00per GB of NVMe a month, 10 to 500 GB
